Move Out [Open]
Character(s): Emizel
Content: Vacancy in the Netherworld sucks
Setting: Outside Overlord Castle
Time: Day after the 13th?
Notes/Warnings: Cranky demon
This was...dumb. In no way was Emizel going to let himself be bossed by some bratty demon, he had far more dignity than that. This probably meant he wouldn't be able to use the dimension gate when it's fixed anyway... Maybe there had to be another way to get home. Surely there is another gatekeeper in this Netherworld somewhere, maybe with a portal that isn't broken. Either way, Emizel especially can't stick around here.
Now then...how to get off this gigantic lava rock--oh, there a sort of bridge formation over there. That works.

Flonne wasn't surprised to see some people leaving; she couldn't blame them with Laharl being how he was and all. She was rather miffed at the young Overlord's behaviour. None of these people wanted to be here. It was all some accident. It didn't feel right at all to her to treat everyone as Laharl had in his mind to.
On the other hand, it didn't feel completely unfair to ask for at least a little assistance in the castle. She'd never convince Laharl, however, to be that nice. At least she'd convinced him to lower that ridiculous rent amount he'd come up with. Flonne felt she'd just have to help them all as much as they could and try to make them feel welcome. Hopefully it would counteract Laharl to some extent.
Still, if any were going to leave, she'd hope they would at least know what they were getting into. The Netherworld could be a very rough place.

Sadly he forgot what he was saying because of it and shook his head. "I'm gonna find out how to get home, that's what."

"You might not find that out there. The best chance of that is probably here, at the castle. The Dimensional Gatekeeper knows really well how it works, so if anyone can figure it out, it would be her!" she told him, sounding pretty confident in it. The chances of answers being elsewhere in the Netherworld felt unlikely to her.
"And if it's something bigger going on, I'm sure Laharl will get to the bottom of it!" If just to stop all the people from arriving in his castle.

"You're 'sure'?" Emizel repeated, and looked a little unimpressed. "If he won't to do anything about it now, why should I trust that he'll do something later?"
Why bother trusting him at all, for that matter.

At least, she was pretty sure, anyways.
And if he didn't, well then she'd just have to do her best to convince him. She couldn't see him not, however. Dimensional travel was very important to demons; almost everywhere they went they used the dimensional gate. She couldn't imagine that was something they could leave broken for very long.

For a moment Emizel might have thought about going back inside after all, but that thought paused and he frown...or pouted, whichever. More fussy than it probably had to be, regardless. "--But I ain't nobody's vassal!"
Sure not paying to stay somewhere he didn't even choose to be, that's for sure.

Flonne's face dropped as Emizel reminded her of that whole thing. She felt terrible about it, and wished Laharl had a different way of dealing with all this, but at the moment she couldn't convince him. Rent or becoming vassals was actually the improved option. He had been wanting to just toss them all out. If it was her choice, she'd have allowed them to be guests, but that wasn't happening.
"I'm really very sorry about that," she apologized, bowing as she did. "It's not really that bad though? I mean, Etna just orders the prinnies to do anything Laharl asks her to do and a lot of the others don't really do anything at all..."
Flonne did help out around the castle, but that was more of her own choice than being ordered.

"Still..."
Emizel actually did feel a bit bad about this. It's obvious that she really wants to help, and it wasn't her fault, but at the same time there's nothing that apparently can be done about it.
"I can't let something like that ruin my reputation even more!"
no subject
"Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself, did I?" she suddenly said, realizing she hadn't done so. "I'm Flonne."
no subject
"You can't..."
That was also the same name Artina used for her, wasn't it? But how-- There's no way there could be that many similarities. Enough to hold the phone on the displacement problem for a minute.
Emizel walked closer. "Then you are the Archangel!" this probably would call for some flailing, but he'll try to resist. "But how, why are you a demon now?!"
Oh no..this isn't because she helped them, was it? Except wouldn't she remember that? This is all too weiiiird.
no subject
"...Eh?"
What? Why ever would he think she was an archangel? Unless...
"I think you must have me confused with someone else or... something," Flonne suggested. That would make sense, right? "I've never been an archangel. I was only an angel trainee, before I became a fallen angel."
no subject
"You don't have like a twin or somethin', do you?"
no subject
"Eh? No, not at all," she replied, looking entirely confused at this point.
no subject
Speaking of that..
"At any rate, you can go ahead and tell that Overlord of yours if you want that Death Emizel refuses to work for him. I can take care of myself just fine."
As long he needed to, anyway. Hopefully.
no subject
"Ah... Alright then. Please be careful out there," Flonne replied, hoping he'd be alright. At least he was a demon, so he'd probably be okay, unlike many of the others.

She was certain that Chelsea would be following suit soon enough as well, and wasn't particularly surprised when she saw any others ambling through the castle gates and heading outside for themselves, even if some of those individuals did soon turn right around and go back in.
Having little to do out here at the moment, though, she was bored. It probably wouldn't hurt much to kill some time trying to actually chat with someone for once. Hopefully someone who wouldn't wind up getting on her bad side, as unfortunately-easy as that often proved to be.
"Didn't want to deal with that crap either, huh?" She called out.
I don't....know where my tag went before o_O
And probably stay mostly away from cuz girl.Heading out completely alone admittedly was pretty nerve wracking."Someone has to know what's going on.."

She'd gotten the impression that Laharl didn't care so much about how any of them ended up there as he did how he could possibly benefit from it, and it pissed her off. She wasn't going to put up with that, not unless any other options were found to be either somehow more-unreasonable or simply nonexistent. That or if Chelsea somehow decided the terms were acceptable. Then Bunny would have to stick around, considering Chelsea was the one helping her look for a way to get rid of her cat-curse.
Even if that ended up being the case, it didn't mean she had to like it.
"Maybe I should have started beating some real answers out of people while I was still inside..."
no subject
"But there is plenty strange about this."
